The work of art “Burning Desire”, a hybrid orchid by the British artist Marc Quinn, has been unveiled in the Place du Casino on Friday 22 June as part of the exhibition “The Littoral Zone,” to be presented at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco until 15 October 2012.

Bright red.  Like the artist’s burning desire to show his work in this magical space, which is one of the most photographed places in the world – and also represents one of the Principality’s famous attractions.

Above the Casino, the “French-style” Boulingrins gardens and their magnificent fountains are havens of greenery, where you can stroll around and be surprised by some remarkable artistic creations.

Keen to share this idea of creating a dialogue “without borders” between Art and Science, the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and the Société des Bains de Mer will take this opportunity to make official the partnership between these two Monegasque entities, which has arisen from this collaboration.
